We are two Detroit obsessed college students. We also both attend Wayne State University in Midtown, Detroit. But, more than anything else, we both share a deep interest in Detroit, its history, its politics, and its current situation.
We are constantly thinking about how best to make the city better. More people, everyone in Michigan really, need to take an interest in the city and to help rebuild it back to what it was.
Ultimately, that is what inspired us to start The Detroit Observer. The DO will be a newspaper dedicated to showing the parts of Detroit you don't read about in the Free Press or Detroit News. We will publish things that will be of particular interest to students (since we are students).
As our short bio says, this is for everyone who wants to know a little bit about everything happening in Detroit.
